Creating and hosting an m3u playlist

Hi all first post and I apologise in advance if I’m posting in the wrong place.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a guide or advice on the following:

Hosting an m3u file (via a Mac/portal if possible)

Having the ability to assign a device Mac to the account or only having 1 account use the playlist at a time

I’m sure there is more I’d love to tweak but off the top of my head that’s what I’m initially after.

You're welcome you can ask !

- First : Why Hosting M3U playlist ?? you can convert a MAC or XTREAM Codes to M3U yes just look here https://incoshiftz.com/threads/1061/ for PC version and here for ANDROID version https://incoshiftz.com/threads/1060/
- Secondly : no you cannot assign a device MAC to account all the MAc are given by the provider or one oh his sellers. then you can use several accounts if you wants look in the MAC section you have several accounts tested and we post regulary new accounts then ....

Thank you very much for the quick reply, basically a friend who lives far away is not too clued up on iptv (not that I am really ) but I was hoping to create a playlist he could use with Smarters.
He’s not tech savvy either so I thought a simple login via portal would be ideal.

Ok so I see that’s hosted on proton-ott.com (won’t load my end) is this assigned a Mac via protons end ? I’m guessing an account is held with them.
My apologies if this is real noob stuff, I did proclaim I’m not savvy myself when it comes to iptv. Up until now I’ve just been a click and watch type of guy lol.

You have three mode of connections for all app APK or PC :

Stalker portal : Means PANEL link (no real link) and MAC code
M3U playlist : you copy and past the playlist and that's all
XTREAM CODE : URL link and USER and PASS

And you can ask 'till The ring bells for dinner !!

No @brummy the most app PC or APK IPTV players have the 3 connection options ! exmaple I use often Ultimate IPTV player or OTT NAvigator as APK on my TV or SFVIP in my PC - Then only with these three I can chosse to connect wit hthe 3 modes that's all -
It's not a question of choice - The question is for these othese option it works or not - Example : in PC some code Xtream don't visualize the VOD list - you go on your APK app and you test the same code and plouf you have the complete VOD list -
Then test the accounts with several APP and you will find the right one for you -

I don't understand your question !? are you talking about installation of XTREAM Server on Ubuntu for ex that's why you say my OWN !? with you own portal to access to your server then you own MAC adress or user pass !? is that what you want to know !!? because me I am just talking how to input the codes in a player !?

I know how to create the playlist, I’m just unsure about how or where to host.

Ok then it's what i've understood ! - You have some sites explaining it under ubunto with the script etc etc just type how to install/create Xtream server with ubuntu - but the hosting (you need the IP/hostName to configure the installation) ... if it's for you and only for you ... take a VPS the cheapest one and install your server and you will give all the elements to connect to .... if it's for you, family, friends and your neighbours hummmm the question is where all your shared files will be stocked then it's better to take a Dedicated server but you to install it completly (cheaper) and you have to find a hoster DMCA IGNORED and yes you can create your OWN IPTV links and you decide if it's by M3U (then red by VLC or a player ...) or access by MAC then you can filtre and put your own MAC adresses with your devices identifying or those used by your Tribe ....
I couldn't tell you more only to help you see the light in your reflexion. If you don't know Linux, a little bit JAVA and PHP(or Python) forget it or pay for it...
